Bet you thought I’d given up hey?
Not a chance! I feel good and am not starving, yep I am just as surprised as you are. Maybe it’s because my body is nourished for the first time. I mean, this is what I had for lunch today (Waitrose shop).
It hasn’t been without its challenges though. I had to go through 3 different brands of non-dairy milk before finally settling on Oatly. The barista Oatly is amazing for tea and coffees so definitely give it a go. I also take a little longer now to do my shopping as I am reading all the ingredients or scanning the product on my app (so freakin’ helpful in shops).
I also managed to watch two really good documentaries on Netflix which has convinced me more than ever to try and stay vegan.
Cowspiracy focuses on how the livestock industry are having a negative effect on the environment. It’s actually very shocking. How did we not know about this before? Here are some examples.
Forks over Knives concentrates on the health benefits of a plant based diet. There are some wonderful life stories from various people dealing with illness and the effect changing their diet has had on their lives.
So if you get a chance to watch them please do. My husband is now trying to cut down his dairy intake which is great.
So there you go, all positives really. I feel 2017 is definitely going to be healthy and happy year.
