Let’s go to the Movies

Hello all

I know there has been a fairly big break between me blogging, but I have been super busy and started a new job in the City, yes I am that person.  But not only do they encourage meat free days in the canteen but, and I know this is small, they have the same Ecover washing up liquid at the coffee stations.  Now I don’t know about you but to me that’s a sign.  All is going very well at the moment so I haven’t really had the time to sit down and spill my thoughts on a page.

So here I am saying that I had a really great day today. Found some really reasonable movie tickets the other day.  Genesis in Mile End are celebrating their 18th Birthday and they were advertising some great deals for a trip to the cinema, only £4.50 per ticket.  In London that is unheard of, so naturally I took up that offer. Never been to this theatre before but was so happy I took my family there.  Lovely little coffee shop at the entrance and bar (not that I tried it – please it was before midday!).  The theatre was huge, not just cinema huge, Troxy huge.  Love it!  Watched The Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 which we all really enjoyed – I mean come on, just the soundtrack alone is awesome.

After that, we decided to pay a visit to Spitalfields City Farm which was great.  I actually did some volunteering work there for a day once so was happy to show my family around.  It’s actually a lovely place to chill and see farm animals, most of which are rescued animals which ticked a huge box of mine.  Good on the farm for doing this.

Forgot how much I enjoy the East End.  So trendy now and mega busy but buzzing.  Music everywhere, vintage clothing, street food I mean who could not love that.

Obviously we had to pop into Rough Trade for a coffee and a look around – would be rude not to.  Think my husband was finding it tough because he could put a serious dent in our credit card unsupervised ha ha ha.  Such a fun place for vinyl shopping.

I felt very lucky to be out in London again in fairly good weather. Is this start of a good Summer? Me thinks so.
